Tamara Korkadze

Tamara Korkadze is a Georgian violinist, born in 1998 in Tbilisi and currently based in Amsterdam. She began playing the violin at the age of nine, quickly demonstrating a strong passion for music and a deep desire to master the instrument. Her dedication led her to perform as a soloist with orchestras from an early age and to earn numerous national and international competition prizes.
In 2018, under the patronage of renowned conductor and violinist Lev Markiz, Tamara was awarded a full Dutch scholarship to pursue her Bachelor’s and later Master’s degrees at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. She studied under Professor Ilya Grubert and graduated summa cum laude in 2024.
Since then, Tamara has continued to develop her musical career in the Netherlands, actively participating in festivals both locally and across Europe.
She is passionate about chamber and orchestral music and has taken part in masterclasses with acclaimed artists such as David Takeno, Pavel Vernikov, Sergey Ostrovsky, and Shunske Sato. In 2023, she was selected as an academist with the Amsterdam Sinfonietta. She regularly performs with some of the Netherlands’ leading orchestras, including the Residentie Orkest and the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra.
Tamara plays a violin made by Johannes Theodorus Cuypers in The Hague, 1786, generously on loan from the Dutch Musical Instruments Foundation.
