Although my studies have mainly focused on classical music, I genuinely enjoy almost every musical genre, especially the opportunity to learn from them. That is why you might find me playing Mahler in an orchestra one day, and the next performing with a funky band!

One of the things I've always loved the most, though, is chamber music. The direct connection between musicians in a small ensemble is truly beautiful. Sitting next to other players and discovering together how to shape your own interpretation of a piece, while constantly growing and improving together, is incredibly inspiring. That's something I can really enjoy with my own string quartet "Debussy quartet".

There's something else I started this year that ties in with all these new discoveries: a duo with a violist friend "En qué sentido". We both sing and play at the same time, which means splitting the brain in two! It's truly amazing how much one can learn this way and I'm really excited to see how this project evolves in the coming years.

Thanks to NMF, I now have the opportunity to play this beautiful Francesco Ruggeri from +- 1680. After so many years, I've finally found a sound I truly connect with, sweet, noble, direct, yet wrapped in a soft layer of cotton. It is perfect!
