Mar Sánchez-Domènech was selected and granted with talent scholarships to participate in several International Music Festivals, such as the 4th and also 5th anniversary of the Kaunas Piano Fest in Lithuania, where she performed Prokofiev's Concerto No. 1 at the Kaunas State Philharmonic and shared the stage with acclaimed pianists Anna Geniushene and Lukas Geniušas. For her outstanding performance, she received the individual prize from Professor Geniušas, which led to an invitation for a solo recital at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland for the opening of the Piano Summer School Masterclasses. Mar took part in Naarden International Piano Festival 2023, Holland Festival 2024, Madrid Piano Fest 2024, International Piano Festival Golden Piano Talents in Macedonia 2023, Juventudes Musicales Andalucia 2022, among others.
In 2024, Mar will release her first album "Del Tener al Ser-The Art of Being", a monographic CD featuring the music of Franz Liszt, supported by Richard Hol Fonds and Georgine van den Boogert Stichting.
Upcoming projects for the 2024-2025 season will include solo concerts in Budapest, Barcelona, and Madrid, along with festivals and award ceremonies.
Mar has received numerous awards and scholarships:, such the National Prize of the Alvargonzález Foundation (Spain), 1st Prize & Special Prize for "The Best Piano Concerto Performance" at the II Golden Piano Talents International Competition, 1st Prize at the Franz Liszt Center International Competition, 1st Prize Gold Award in the highest category at the "Danubia Piano Talents" International Competition Art Association in Budapest, Hungary, Special Teacher's Prize at the V Kaunas International Piano Festival by Lukas Geniusas, 2nd Prize at Orbetello International Piano Competition in Italy, 1st Prize & Prize for the “Best Performance of Liszt” at Carles & Sofia International Piano Competition “Claudio Arrau 2024 Edition” professional cathegory, Gold Prize in the 5th Liszt International Music Competition Danubia Talents Budapest, Instrumental Performance Scholarship and Prize for the Best Academic Records UAX, winner of the Excellence Scholarship of the Community of Madrid on three occasions, III Prize in the I International Piano Competition "Villa de Madrid" ("Spanish Association of Mongolia"), I Prize in the regional and community phase of the "Intercentros Melómano" Competition, III Prize in the National Piano Competition "Marisa Montiel" of Linares and finalist in the National Piano Competition "Jacinto Guerrero" of Toledo, among others.
As well as traditional piano repertory, Mar also perform four hands and two pianos repertory and she also as an interest in female composers and contemporary music and has premiered pieces by contemporary composers.
Mar has received masterclasses from important figures in music such as Nikolai Lugansky, Norma Fisher, Konrad von Abel, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Hortense Cartier-Bresson, Lukas Geniušas, Klára Würtz, Paul Komen, Henry Kelder, Begoña Uriarte, Josep Colom, Patrín García Barredo, Kennedy Moretti, Nino Kereselidze, Mariana Gurkova, Tilman Krämer, Miriam Gómez-Morán, Alexander Kandelaki, László Stachó, Yehuda Gilad and Mariam Batsashvili.
She performed as a soloist with different orchestras and several countries around Europe: The Netherlands (Fentener van Vlissingen Zaal, Utrecht City Hall, Waalsekerk de Breda, Instituto Cervantes), United Kingdom (Royal Conservatory of Scotland), Lithuania (Didžioji aula universiteto Katalikų teologijos fakulteto, Bussiness Leaders Center and Kaunas State Philarmonic), Italy (Auditorium San Domenico di Foligno, Conservatorio "Antonio Vivaldi" di Alessandria), Macedonia, and numerous cities and many important halls in Spain: Palau de la música de Valencia, Ateneo Nacional de Madrid...
