Ivan Saez Schwartz

In 2018 I finished a double master in Modern and Baroque viola in The Royal Conservatory in The Hague. I did study with Asdis Valdimarsdottir and Walter Reiter respectively. 

In 2019 I continued my studies in the CvA with Shunske Sato.

Nowadays I work in The Netherlands and all over Europe with different groups as a freelance, Le concert des Nations, Holland Baroque, Orquesta Barroca de Tenerife, The Bach orchestra of The Netherlands, The Bach Vereningen...

The instrument I have from the NMF collection is great. Is a quite thin viola very confortable to play. It doesn't have a big sound to be honest, but it is very rich and with lots of possibilities, and that is in fact what I look for in an instrument. 

I tried to put also gut strings on it and it works perfectly to play romantic music on period.
