At the age of 9, I took my first steps in cello with the guidance of Viatcheslav Kainov at the Çukurova University State Conservatory. After moving to the Netherlands to pursue my bachelor's degree in classical cello, I continued my studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where I had the privilege of learning under Larissa Groeneveld. During my time there, I completed my undergraduate degree with distinction, marking a significant milestone in my musical journey.

I have always been passionate about chamber music and orchestral playing. At a young age, I had the opportunity to hold the principal cello positions in youth orchestras such as the Doğuş Çocuk Symphony Orchestra, the Turkish National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (TUGFO), and the Netherlands National Youth Orchestra (NJO). My love for chamber music also led me to form ensembles like Kali Ensemble, Abo Trio, Ensemble Orochi, and Reis Orkest Arnhem, allowing me to explore new musical spaces and collaborate with fellow musicians.

Alongside my ensemble work, my solo performances has driven me to pursue a deeper connection with my instrument and explore my personal tone as a cellist.

As my artistic vision evolved, I realized I needed an instrument that could support my growth and help me achieve my musical goals. That’s when I discovered the Nationaal Muziek Instrumenten Fonds. As an international student, finding the right instrument and bow support can be challenging. NMF holds a special place in my heart, as it led me to my current instrument, made in 1870 by the Italian maker Gaetano Chiocchi. Playing this cello has been a transformative step in my color palette. From the moment I first played it, I knew it was the instrument that would help me discover my true sound. Its deep, dark character closely matches my tone, making it feel like finding the perfect wand to create magic.
