Antonio Carrascal

Antonio - 2002 - started learning the piano in Spain at a young age. Later he moved to the UK where he finished high school at a specialist music school in Scotland. He then got accepted at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam where he is currently studying in the class of Prof. David Kuyken. Throughout his musical education, masterclasses with distinguished pianists such as Boris Berman, Jean-Louis Haguenauer or Stephen Hough have played a very inspiring role in his journey.

He participated in numerous competitions in Spain and the UK where he obtained first prize - Concurso Internacional de Piano Ciudad de Sevilla - and some special Nominations - Edinburgh Competition Festival or Concurso Julio Garcia Casas. Antonio is active in performing in different venues such as the Queen's Hall in Edinburgh or the Royal garden in Cordoba. He is also an active chamber musician; he is currently a member of two ensembles with which he is starting two exciting new projects.
